It Has Been Awhile
It has been two months since I last wrote a post, and that’s pretty shitty by anybody’s standards I think. I apologize for not keeping this place updated as much as I should.
I’ve been really, really busy with work lately and I’ve got a post or two here that has been in ‘draft’ status for quite awhile. Here’s a little bit about what’s going on:
I’ve been getting quite a few emails about finding jobs and career paths outside of medicine. I have a post approximately halfway finished with information about this. This will be the next official post.
I’ll post more comical relief related to the match (I hope) as Match Day approaches. People that match into surgery will always boggle my mind.
There are a couple of (possible) surprises that I have planned for this blog. If I decide to go through with either one, I’ll post the announcements here.
Look for the posts soon. Also, if you’ve emailed me questions I haven’t forgotten about you. I’ll get a response out to you ASAP.

Whoa. You really seem serious about chucking people (and yourself) out of medicine. I should stay away, really…I’d get into trouble if my professors/parents/friends caught me reading this…*hypnotically drawn to screen*
I await your surprises to the blog with pleasure. (I hope it’s not one of those Mattel Nurse Quacktitioner dolls, cos that’s been done already.)

your blog is hilarious. I’m going to medical school no matter what you say, but I still enjoy reading your posts.
I think I’ll be a lot more “at ease” knowing all these things ahead of time. I chose Harvard over Johns Hopkins. Wish me luck and live on my friend.

I just recently discovered your blog and i love reading your old posts. I’m graduating this year and all I want is to take my degree and run far far away from medicine. Unfortunately a suffocating debt all but forces my hand. Keep on fighting the man!

Great post! I plan on going into practice, but it’s great to know that there are actually options available to those that want them. Keep fighting the good fight!
