This definition of lifestyle specialties is somewhat dated. I don't feel that Anesthesiology belongs in the ROAD classification anymore since their work hours are on the high side of all specialties. Emergency Medicine is a great specialty that has good working hours and decent pay. The best part is that once you're done with your shift, you go home. Call and coming into the hospital at 2 am is nonexistent. I'll hopefully start working on the EM specialty review soon, but I'd love to get Panda to guest author it for complete relevancy.
