Great post, Im a 3rd year medical student and didn't figure out these tips until 2nd year. A website to greatly help slackers dominate is wizardkey.com They have a program that sucks a lot of the bs steps you do googling words, switching sliders, watching lecture.
Big tip: if your lectures are recorded watch them @ 1.5x or 2x speed. Saves a ton of time and deemphasizes umm.. Ahh..and breaks when prof is thinking or switching slides.

haha i know what you mean! i just started m1 a few months ago and haven't been to class since the first week. my classmates can't believe it, but all of our lectures are podcasted, i can watch them as 2x speed from my living room and be done with it. some people just don't get it feel obligated to "follow the rules." i think its just all about efficiency. basic science lectures are, simply put, a waste of time. unless the lecturer is exceptionally engaging, which is rare. and even in that case attending lecture is of more entertainment/motivational value than education.

I really miss the first 2 years of medical school! I woke up at 10am, watched some TV, worked out for an hour, read for a little bit, and then watched more TV. The good ol' days. I got mostly B's but you know what? I'll take those B's ANY DAY over attending class, labs, workshops every single day and have someone lecture me on something I can just read on my super comfy bed. Enjoy your first two years, clinicals are hell. Hey Hoover, you advocate Path, how come you don't advocate Rads?
