I found an interesting blog today called Resident Other. Resident Other is written from the standpoint of a “medical spouse.” Here’s a look on why the match doesn’t occur at the most convenient time for students and their families.

So apparently like 5 people did scramble even though attendings were telling us no one did and the school’s website had a heading up that the entire class “matched” on Match Day. All very odd…
Coyote – I think that most schools count students who had to scramble as “matching” so long as they found a spot prior to match day. Still not a bad achievement, and only 5 people scrambling isn’t bad either.
