Download Link for “Sicko”

Michael Moore is a fat bastard. If you’re going to see his latest movie, don’t pay $7 to do so and just download it here for free. I figured all of you health care peeps would probably watch it anyway, so just grab it now and don’t buy him another round of McDonald’s.

If Windows Media Player doesn’t work (you’ll need the proper divx codec), then download VLC Media Player – just google it to find the download.

  2. Whoa. Thanks. I’ve been wanting to watch this for some time now. I guess from your tone that you didn’t think it was good (boy I’m sharp aren’t I?) which makes me wanna watch it more now. Thanks!

*gasp* Fat bastard? Hoover, where’s your sense of humanity and professionalism that was supposed to be inculcated (er, indoctrinated) into your mind during medical school?!

Once you’ve had fat, you’ll never go back! He’s dead sexy! He wants some baby back ribs.

  4. Satan says:

    Fuck that motherfucker.

  5. MED STUD says:

Anyone that exposes and shames the heartless criminals of the insurance and pharm industry is a hero in my book.

    MED STUD.
are you serious? ask yourself what country you would want to be in, say, on a trip, and have a ruptured AAA. the answer is right here my friend. the reason we are the best is due, in no small part, to the super job pharmaceutical companies have done in drug development and research for new therapies. the reason that you can get your triple A repaired here without a red cent to your name is due to people that pay for insurance, the insurance companies suck up the cost of indigent care. personally, i think everyone should pay for their own care and have their own insurance. having worked for government run health care in the VA and as an active duty physician i can tell you that the last place i would ever want to be as a sick patient is the VA or most tertiary military facilites. try taking a basic economics course or simply read ‘basic economics’ by thomas sowell.

Riiigghhtt MED STUD. Let’s just give health care away for free. Hospital stays, drugs, treatments, CT and MRI scans, anything you can think of.

Watch how long it takes to go completely to shit. Why the fuck don’t some people get it that it’s OK to profit from medicine? In a way, I guess it’s OK – it means more money for me as an entrepreneur.

If the truth was absolutely known, Michael Moore probably doesn’t give two shits about “saving” health care. He just wants to make a buck with his “documentaries.” He’s taking advantage of a controversial topic and then thinking outside of the box to profit from it. Controversial money is easy money.

  8. Daniel says:

What are you guys smoking? is there ANY reason to think that Public health care would be a bad idea?

The fact that it works like a charm in 100 other countries in the world is bad?

    Maan you must be retarded…

  9. Hoover says:

…and you must be a physician practicing in the U.S.

    Yeah, I didn’t think so.

  10. Genipa says:

    Hoover,

I thought Michael Moore’s documentery was absolute shit. Gross actually. I wish he would actually present BOTH sides of the story…ie, that US citizens are going bankrupt paying for medical bills and Canadian citizens are not getting the care they need. I hate that kind of political brain-washing. And his fat ass is going to need a lot of health care. I’m sure he doesn’t think he needs to pay for it either.

I’ve been reading your blog for hours now. I am going to be a medical student soon, and a non-traditional one at that. I started out in another career and spent a lot of time trying to get into medical school. Somehow your posts do not deter me, or make me less excited about becoming a doctor. I think it is because I see that you are much happier doing what you do now than you ever were with the idea of becoming a physician. I think what you are missing is that some people are just as exciting about becoming doctors as you are about having “freedom”.

You bring up a lot of valid points and I am grateful to be reading your blog…but the reality is, there is nothing I would rather do. No matter the cost, the strain, or the lifestyle.
