Wut

So it has been awhile since my last post, and my last post was a cheat since someone threw me the content.

OK.

I’m just posting to say I’m still here stacking paper. You have to realize it’s near impossible to write about medical school since I’ve been out of the game so long now. If someone wants to take over, post a comment and we’ll go from there. I don’t even really check the mail on this site anymore.

Cheers!

    Hey Hoover,
Seeing as you will probably not be updating this website that often, and if there’s a chance that it may be taken down because you may just be butthurt, could you make like a downloadable archive of all the files/entreis you’ve written on this — I have a feeling that your blog won’t be archived by SDN anytime soon like PandaBearMDs LOL.
In any case, I want to thank you for this blog, you’ve successfully convinced me to at least delay going to medical school and all the bullshit that is involved with it for at least some time.
You keep it real, you don’t bullshit around, and you tell it “like it is” without any of the fluff.

Hope your porn business flourishes and all that good stuff,

The internets loves you and appreciates all you have done in teh truths,
    4chan

    Okay, here’s a post for ya….

THE FOUR UNIVERSAL TRUTHS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL CLASSES

    1) Most of your classmates will be liberal-socialist types hell-bent on saving the world through social justice, single payer petitions, and Marxist redistribution of wealth. This is one big reason why they got accepted to medical school in the first place.

    2) Many of them will magically become great lovers of capitalism around residency application time, happily applying to high-paying specialties which actually compensate them for their time and effort, even if in some cases it means treating acne or implanting fake boobs rather than saving starving babies.

    3) By the end of residency the majority of your former classmates will be fiscal conservatives who will loathe the government for the tax rape they are about to endure from them.

    4) The few remaining liberal-socialist types will go into academic medicine and perpetuate the cycle within the academic environment.

    The end.

  3. Tyler says:

Or they will become like this doctor… though I agree in general with the second post (except I think a lot of them go into medicine hoping they will make a lot of money… )

So Hoover, you keep on talking about how your business is taking off. And for your sake so that 4chan.org and your medical school doesn’t harass you, what can you tell us about your business?

Is it related to medicine at all or a completely unrelated endeavor.

And where did you get the startup capital/money for the business especially with $100-150k in loans I assume.

I only ask because I don’t want to go through residency necessarily.

  5. Thank you for this valuable post. It changed my approximation

  6. Depressed MD says:

Dear Dr. Hoover, I really hope this letter reaches your computer screen, as you may be my last and only hope for salvation from this hell that I’m stuck in.

I’m a first year IMG medical student who is studying abroad. I don’t have an undergrad degree because I decided to take the “Fast track” to medical school, as I couldn’t stand undergrad sciences. Now I’m finding that Medical School is sucking the life out of me, I have been avoiding class and failing lots of exams.

AND DARE I SAY IT… I have been having suicidal thoughts, though that’s not something I’ll ever do because I love life too much, still it shows how depressed I have been.

Now I want to escape Medicine but I have nowhere to go, I don’t know what other career I could pick which would give me the kind of money I came into medicine to earn.

If you read this, please help me out you can add me of on facebook @ Shawn Shukla.

    Email ShawnShukla@gmail.com

Please hear this plea, I beg of you.

    • Awww poor Shawn Shukla — you’re just another Indian whose parents pushed him into medicine as the only avenue of success in life.

Let me guess they believe in Vishnu, believe you should have an arranged marriage to a good seedi-saadi girl from India huh?

You’re a chump Mr. Shawn Shukla. You took on more than you could handle. And you will fail most likely. Sorry, but that’s just how life is.

You’re best off at this point taking a break during medical school, seeing as medical school is so cheap in India where you’re probably in medical school. You’re plenty young and I assume you’re in your first year of medical school at the age of 18.

See the problem is that you don’t have the work ethic built in you like those native Indians do. From what I gather you’re a Canadian/American desi who through a combination of your family’s twisted reasoning and your own misguided and immature goals went from high school that is ridiculously easy to a medical school that is even more competitive and more intense than any in America.

You say that you have suicidal thoughts and you say you love life huh? Sounds to me you don’t even understand your own emotions? And it sounds like you’re just a weak pathetic person overall.

      > Now I want to escape Medicine but I have nowhere to go, I don’t know what other career I could pick which would give me the kind of money I came into medicine to earn.

Ha ha, again your foolish preconceptions you stupid Indian twat. It’s always about the job security and money.

Do you know why your ancestors in the home land were able to do it? They experienced a much harder life than you could ever imagine.

You know what they say, necessity is the mother of invention — and they did it because it was literally live or die painfully.

Now you may not be able to make as much money as you can in medicine, but there are plenty of other fields that will give you a very good salary — maybe not as much as a doctor, but will leave you happy.

Of course, you don’t want that now do you? You don’t want to be like everyone else. You want to be better than the rest. But you can’t — because you’re not better than the rest. You’re actually probably even below them as your work ethic is nonexistent.

And what are you going to do with all that money if you eventually become a doctor? It sounds as though you have no proclivity towards the life sciences — then why push harder for it? You’ll just go bald and fat and by the time you actually make the money — you will be so ugly that the only girl who will go for you will be some gold-digger bitch and you won’t be happy.

“Please hear this plea, I beg of you.”

Again, you are just a boy in a, I presume, a skinny brown man’s body. What makes you stand out from the rest? Just because you have a decent brain? What makes you charismatic, what attracts others to you, particularly girls (or let me guess, your parents forbid you to even interact with girls huh? HA HA) what makes you a man?

My advice for you is to grow up, take the time like every other American and gain more experience in life before taking a swing at medicine. And in all honesty, I would dissuade you from this path and do something else. Nobody can recommend what it is but you have plenty of time.

Just don’t tell the rest of us how bad your life is because you’re a selfish, egotistical, spoiled brat.

Protip: Don’t listen to your parents. It’s your life not theirs.

Protip 2: Don’t be a virgin Indian tool that is supplicant all the time. Be a man you tool.

      • Shawn Shukla says:

Cute, you’re a tool for believing such a melodramatic message. I specfically wrote that so tools like you will respond, HAHAHAH. Who’s the chump now?

        • TacoTim says:

There’s a difference between doing “pretty well” and being “content.”

You’re obviously not of the latter category you fag, so the joke’s on you cocksucker.

          • MGS says:

Yeah suck it. You won’t be content in 20 years either when you have been practicing primary care for that long, so who’s the fag now? You.

        • Tony Danza says:

          > I specfically wrote that so tools like you will respond

And if you’re telling the truth, then wow, please get laid, preferably not by your whore of a mom hooker.

          • MGS says:

He’s actually with your mom now, I’m taping it. I’m going to call it Ms. Danza takes that Shawn Shukla Banana in the ass! hahahahah

I’m doing pretty well actually. Only problem is that I’m not enjoying it. But how the hell am supposed to get a response from you guys if I don’t make it sound so drammatic?

    • Dr EZ says:

Don’t be so harsh on the kid. None of us had “life experience” at 18. I’m curious about what YOU do for a living?

BobSmith – If only that can come to light for others…

Shawn – While Cartman may have torn you a new asshole, try taking his message for what it is without getting completely defensive and disregarding him.

Hoover – I sent you a message through the site a while back. I like to write… plus I can do satire. Contact me if you want samples or anything for that matter. Keep well.

  9. Dr. J says:

I a first year med school student who can provide a little sarcasm and insight into the mind of a student who is struggling to make it in medical school. I can write fairly well. Send me an email for any samples.
